WE WON!!!

We brought in over $1,000 and won first place in the Bring In The Green Contest. The classroom will receive a pizza party. Lindy’s mom gave the top three contributors gift cards to Target. Our top three donations came from Lindy, Caitlin, and Jeremy. Thanks to everyone else who contributed to the shade structure that should hopefully be built by this coming year.

Bring In The Green

Miss Pittroff’s class in the lead currently. We have already raised over $900 and every little bit counts. If we are one of the top three classes we will earn a pizza party. Keep bringing in that change because every little bit counts.

Decodable Books Earn Tickets

Each night your child needs to read the decodable book that is sent home. The same book is sent him each night for the week. Each day a new colored circle will be on that book. Please initial the book to indicate that your child read the book to you. Your child needs to read the book to an adult not a 10 or 11 year old. Please remember that this earns your child a ticket. The more tickets your child earns the better the prize will be. Sometimes they can earn two prizes.

Homework – Room 216

 

Homework is sent home on Mondays. It is to be returned to school the following Friday. You should work on two or three pages each night. It is important that a grown-up supervises and checks your work.

You should read out loud to a grown-up at least 20 minutes each night, in addition to practicing the fluency story. Fluency should be timed for one minute. Spelling words need to be written and practiced every night too.
